CONTEXT
Treedom, an organization dedicated to global tree planting and environmental sustainability, sought to enhance its app by developing exclusive features for subscribers and encouraging recurring user engagement. The challenge was to identify strategies that would both attract new users and foster long-term retention.
DESIGN PROCESS
Our research methodology included:
Desk Research: Analyzing documents and reports related to sustainability and user behavior.
Interviews: Conducting interviews with a target audience aged 24-28 to gather insights into their preferences and motivations.
Based on these insights, we developed several key solutions:
Online Event Participation: Allowing users to engage in online events through the app.
Treedom Reunion: Introducing a special event where the community gathers for multiple days to participate in various nature-immersive activities.
Profile Personalization Tools: Implementing "Bio-Card," a feature that enables users to create a personalized avatar.
To bring our ideas to life, we prototyped various user flows using Figma. These prototypes visually represented our solutions and provided a clear, interactive demonstration of how users would navigate and engage with the new features. The prototypes were instrumental in validating our concepts and ensuring they met user needs and expectations.
RESULTS
Our proposal provided Treedom with a platform within the app where subscribers could share valuable, engaging experiences centered around sustainability and well-being. We emphasized the importance of leveraging both online and offline channels to promote group activities that strengthen the bond between users and Treedom.
The project received high praise from Treedom, who described it as a work of "high professionalism" with a compelling and well-executed concept. They appreciated our thorough benchmarking, clear journey mapping, and the originality of our ideas, noting the strong alignment with their B2B initiatives.
